Do I need to contact the Kinder if my child is unwell?

Yes, if your child is unwell, please contact the kinder at your earliest convenience.

Will I still be charged if my child is absent due to being unwell?

Yes, you are still charged your normal daily rate if your child is absent.

Will I be charged if I go on holidays?

  • Lucknow offer families a 50% reduction of their fees for holidays.
  • Every family can claim up to 4 weeks of holiday discount per calendar year.
  • 4 weeks notice is required and holidays need to be taken for a minimum of 1 week.

What is Additional Child Care Subsidy (ACCS)?

ACCS is additional fee assistance on top of your Child Care Subsidy (CCS). If you meet the below criteria, you may be eligible for ACCS: – an eligible grandparent getting an income support payment – transitioning from certain income support payments to work – experiencing temporary financial hardship – caring for a child who is vulnerable or at risk of harm, abuse or neglect For more information please visit Services Australia

How do I apply for the Child Care Subsidy (CCS)?

Services Australia has a step-by-step instruction of how to claim CCS through this link. You cannot commence your enrolment at Lucknow Kindergarten prior to your CCS being approved. We recommend applying as soon as possible so full fees are not applied.

How do I contact Centrelink?

You can contact the Centrelink families line on 136 150, Monday to Friday, from 8am to 8pm.

Do I need to apply for CCS for my second child?

Yes, even though you may have been approved for one or more children, you will need to lodge an additional claim when another child starts kinder.

How do I confirm my CCS?

You will need to log into your MyGov or Centrelink app. You will have a task to complete which will be to confirm your enrolment with Lucknow. If there are any issues please contact Family Support Services, rather than selecting the dispute button.

What is your enrolment process?

You will firstly need to fill an enrolment form in if your child has been offered a place in either kinder 3 or kinder 4 program. You can select your preference of a kinder group. (Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday) Once a child is attending the 3-year-old kinder program, they are guaranteed a place in the 4-year-old kinder in the following year. Orientation/information session and meeting your child’s Teacher and Educators will be offered before the start of your new kinder year.

What do I need to bring with my child to Lucknow Kindergarten?

Lunchbox with healthy food choices such as healthy sandwiches, raw vegetables and dips, salads, wholesome muffins etc Fresh, natural and nourishing foods give children the right fuel to play happily throughout their day. A plastic and package free lunchbox (nude foods) are encouraged.

  • Drink bottle with water.
  • Change of clothes labelled and 2 plastic bags (when involved in hands-on play based learning your child will get messy!)
  • A sun smart hat, which covers your child's face, neck and ears.
  • Beanie and warm jacket and gumboots for outdoor play in winter
  • Provide your own nappy/pull ups if your child is not toilet trained.

What will the kinder provide for my child?

Lucknow Kindergarten provides Care and Education for 3- to 6-year-old children, up to 48 weeks a year, with opening hours from 7:30am to 6:00pm.
  • Fresh fruit for morning and afternoon tea.
  • Breakfast program for children that arrive early.
  • Spare nappies and wipes.
  • All experiences and incursions that are centre based.
